Numerous funding opportunities are available to support schools on their international journeys. The opportunities displayed on this page are primarily available for schools in the UK.
If you are with a school outside the UK, you can find information about funding opportunities on your British Council country website.
Connecting Classrooms funds teachers and school leaders who have completed core skills training to visit colleagues at a partner school in another country and develop effective practice for teaching core skills together. Successful applicants get support with every stage of their international journey.
Erasmus+ Key Action 1 funding enables school staff to visit partner schools in Europe to engage in study courses, job shadowing and observation, training, and teaching placements. All activities form part of a transnational mobility project that provides exciting opportunities to explore fresh approaches to education.
Erasmus+ Key Action 2 funds strategic partnerships between schools in Europe to foster innovation, effective practice and knowledge exchange. Schools in the UK can apply to lead or join a schools-only project, focusing on a range of important issues in education.
If you already have a partner school in France, you can apply for a £5,000 grant to undertake reciprocal student visits and extended project work.
If you have a partner school in Germany, or would like to start working with one, you can apply for UK-German Connection grants to support a range of joint activities, partnership visits and collaborative projects.
