Good morning Miss Rose,
The idea of exchanging festivals is really amazing.
I think people round the world celebrate the women's day on the 8th-March, but sure it will be in different ways referring to their culture. Our school would like to share you the activities of this festival. Students are working currently day and night to prepare plays, songs, dancing shows ...etc for this occasion.

waiting for your reply to know what to do next.

warmest regards,
Suha Surour.

Ramadan
is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is the Islamic month of fasting, in which participating Muslims refrain from eating, drinking, having sex, smoking, and indulging in anything that is in excess or ill-natured; from dawn until sunset.[1] Fasting is meant to teach the Muslim patience, modesty and spirituality. Ramadan is a time for Muslims to fast for the sake of God (Arabic: الله‎) and to offer more prayer than usual

Dear Rosaryou how can we know that this Ramadan?
Many Muslims insist on the local physical sighting of the moon to mark the beginning of Ramadan, but others use the calculated time of the new moon or the Saudi Arabian declaration to determine the start of the month. Since the new moon is not in the same state at the same time globally, the beginning and ending dates of Ramadan depend on what lunar sightings are received in each respective location. As a result, Ramadan dates vary in different countries, but usually only by a day. This is due to the cycle of the moon. When one country sees the moon, mainly Saudi Arabia, the moon travels the same path all year round and that same moon seen on the East is then seen traveling towards the West. All the countries around the world see the moon within a 24 hour period once spotted by one country in the East :celebrate:

We’re from Somapa2 School located in Thailand and I’m looking for a partner who wants to do a project on Festivals.

Somapa2 is a Thai school that has 1,338 pupils, which is composed of kindergarten and Elementary pupils from first to sixth grades. It was founded 29 years ago and it still continues in teaching the minds and touching the lives of its students.

We’ve chosen Festival because we want to know people from the other side of the world by knowing and celebrating their festivals. We believe that festivals can tell the history and culture of a certain place as well as the kind of people living in there. Moreover, it would also be a venue for our pupils to improve their skills in speaking English by interacting with your students as well.

We intend to do this project with our Grades 4 and 5 pupils in connection with the upcoming celebration of Mother’s Day here in Thailand. I hope that these details have given you a little overview of our school and the project that we would like to do.

We would love to hear positive responses from you!

Regards,
Jewel

Dear Rosa,

I hope you must be doing well. Well, Usman Khalid - our country cordinator- directed me to you for searching partner schools. I hope you will me out in finding partner schools.

Well, I have chosen three schools altogether who have decided on their project and are ready to work upon it.

One CCO member by the name 'shafaq Lodhi' has chosen Fiesta for her project work in which she will be concentrating on the Muslim Festival-Eid.

Another CCO member by the name 'Nadia Mahmood' has opted for working on ARCHITECTURE OF PAKISTAN, a very interesting and innovative topic. I would like to introduce this new topic on the CCO forum.

Last but not the least, 'Nida Ahmer' is working upon the project 'Rivers of Pakistan'.

Kindly let us know, if any school in UK is interested in these three projects.

Thank you
Regards
Majida
