Erasmus+ is the new EU programme that offers UK teachers in school and colleges the opportunity to teach or train abroad in one of the 32 participating countries. It provides a range of funded opportunities to introduce or add value to the European dimension in the curriculum.

The UK National Agency for Erasmus+ is a partnership between the British Council and Ecorys UK.

Find a Partner

eTwinning is the European Commission’s online partner finding and collaboration tool. As a teacher in a school or college, you can register your details, create a profile, search for partners, engage in online partnerships and work on a range of curriculum projects -free of charge.

How Do You Apply for Erasmus+ Funding?

The application is made by the school or local/regional authority. UK organisations leading a Strategic Partnership project must apply to the UK National Agency on behalf of the partnership. Find out more.

eTwinning, Erasmus+ and EU referendum update 30 June 2016

On 28 June, the UK National Agency (UK NA) published the following statement on the Erasmus+ website, which we are now echoing to all eTwinners.

There is no immediate change to the UK’s participation in the eTwinning programme under Erasmus+ following the EU referendum result and the UK National Support Service will continue to manage and deliver eTwinning for the UK.

All participants should continue with their eTwinning planning or activities in 2016 and 2017.

This position is supported by the statement from Jo Johnson, Minister of State for Universities and Science, published on 28 June 2016. His statement also outlines some initial information regarding the UK’s future access to the Erasmus+ programme and we will update all those involved in the eTwinning and Erasmus+ programmes when further information becomes available.

The European Commission (EC) has also published an update on their Erasmus+ website which links to an article on the UK’s status within the EU here.
