Connecting Classrooms helps young people to develop the knowledge, skills and values to thrive in a globalised economy. The programme focuses on integrating a range of core skills into the curriculum, through professional development, partnerships and classroom resources.
eTwinning is a free, secure online platform to collaborate with teachers and schools in over 40 European countries. Through eTwinning you will be able to share ideas, make new connections and participate in courses and workshops to develop your skills.
Erasmus+ offers teachers the chance to teach or train abroad. The programme is a unique way to develop skills, find new ways of working, share expertise and renew drive as a teacher.
Schools working with a partner school in Germany can apply for grants from UK–German Connection to support their activities, such as study visits and joint project work.
Charles de Gaulle and The Lefèvre Trust both offer funding opportunities for schools and students to take part in exchanges. Grants of up to £5000 are available to help develop language and cultural exchange.
Commonwealth Class is a joint initiative from the British Council and Commonwealth Secretariat. The initiative offers free access to teaching resources, classroom activities, online debates and competitions to mark the run-up to the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The International School Award (ISA) is a motivational framework to help you shape your international work. By working towards the ISA you will be working to introduce global skills into your school through project work with international schools.
