The Peace Conversation: I Can Change The World Today
Inspire your students to help create a more peaceful and sustainable world in the run up to Peace Day on 21st September. Sign up for Peace Day
Founded in 1999 by documentary filmmaker Jeremy Gilley, the non-profit organisation Peace One Day drove the initiative that led to the unanimous adoption by UN member states of an annual day of global ceasefire and nonviolence on 21 September – Peace Day. With the day in place, Peace One Day’s objective is to institutionalise Peace Day around the world, making it self-sustaining.
Show your support for Peace Day and access a wide range of education resources by registering on Promethean Planet. For the first 21,000 registrations, Promethean will donate 21 cents to the Haller Foundation, who run programmes to help poor communities build sustainable lives for themselves.
