One Voice for All is a set of teaching resources designed to help teachers discuss and explore human rights in their classrooms. Its key focus is the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The materials, which can be downloaded or viewed on line, are aimed at a global audience and have been designed to be broadly applicable to a range of curricula. Relevant subject areas include citizenship, history, geography, English and media studies. The materials can also be easily adapted to suit students of different ages.
Teachers in schools that have international partnerships might like to think creatively about how to share with partner schools the process of working through these activities and the learning that results from this.
Background
This resource was produced for Connecting Classrooms by educational consultant, Margot Brown, with additional support from Charlotte Hunt, UNICEF. It takes inspiration from the inaugural Deloitte StreetChild World Cup, which was held in South Africa in March 2010, and was launched on Human Rights Day in December 2010.
